For five days, four politically interested youth from Suriname have visited the Netherlands to exchange valuable experiences with Dutch political youth. The programme included the following activities:

- An introduction to demcoracy and youth participation on Tuesday at NIMD in the Hague;

- A training on debate on Wednesday at JOVD Head Office in the Hague;

- A visit to the Parliament and a Round Table with Dutch political youth leaders on Thursday;

- A session on youth campaigns and a visit to the Dutch Youth Council on Friday;

- A concluding session for future planning on Saturday at D66 Head Office in the Hague.

The exchange resulted in a valuable exchange of experiences and the exploration of further ideas for cooperation between Dutch and Surinam political youth. Please find an on-line reflection of two of the participants here.
